Bridal Style with B In A Bonnet: Halos, Headbands and Hair Chains!

bethphotoHey Brides, Hey!   My name is Beth and I’m the owner/designer at B in a Bonnet,  and oh how I love all things bridal. My love affair with weddings started at a very young age.  I was a bleary eyed eight year old when my Mom woke me up for Princess Diana’s wedding at 5 am, and back then you had to watch live television! In between spoonfuls of lucky charms, and my Mom saying how wrinkled Diana’s dress had become, I became mesmerized by her 25 foot train.  I was instantly fascinated – Total goner!  The bridal bug had bit me.

Transforming vintage & current supplies into bridal accessories is B in a Bonnet’s specialty.  I specialize in reconstructions of bridal gowns into bridal belts & headpieces.  Whether I find my goodies at antique stores, estate sales, or a thrift stores, I always squeeze as much love and fabulousness into every piece. Every bride should feel her most fabulous on the wedding day!  Just like Princess Diana, only less wrinkly!

With all the options out there for bridal hair accessories, what is a bride to choose?  You have all your bridal necessities checked off your nuptial list, sometimes hair accessories can often be an afterthought.  For the more traditional bride, a veil may be your go-to option.  But what if you’re a non-traditional bride? What’s a gal to do?  The answer is one of the most fantastic trends that’s sweeping the wedding universe – headbands, hair chains and halos (oh, my)!  Not to say that a veil isn’t a lovely choice, but why not mix it up a bit!

If you’re aiming for a rustic, boho vibe, a delicate floral crown could be your answer.  There is definitely something ethereal and magical about a ring of flowers perched on top your perfectly, un-done do.  Then there’s the halo effect – dainty and diaphanous, everything a princess bride inspires to be.  Now, if your all “business in the front, party in the back”,  a gorgeous hair-chain would accent your low-slung bridal chignon to the stratisfier.  Lastly,  a headband can be the best compromise for the traditional bride.  Rock that veil for your vows, and then reveal a dazzling headband your reception.  Just make sure it has some sparkle to catch all those camera flashes while you dance the night away!
With your wedding day approaching, here’s some bridal accessories inspo for you to ‘wrap’ your head around.
